Performance Policies

Late Seating: Those arriving late to a performance will be asked to wait for an appropriate time to enter the house and will be seated in the rear of the Hall between works, at the discretion of the House Manager, so as not to disturb fellow audience members or the orchestra. Patrons will be allowed to return to their ticketed seats during intermission. Those who wish to leave before the end of the concert are requested to do so between works, so as not to disturb others.

Children:  Children over the age of 4 years are welcome at Springfield Symphony Hall on SSO concert nights. All children must have a ticket for the performance.

Hearing Devices: A limited number of hearing devices are available for each concert. Please stop by the Box Office window at Symphony Hall between 6pm and 7:30pm on concert night to borrow one.

Parking at Symphony Hall and Transportation

For SSO patrons, free concert night parking is always included with your concert ticket at I-91 South Springfield Parking Authority (SPA) parking garage at 1620 East Columbus Avenue, Springfield MA. Simply scan the barcode on the parking ticket upon exiting any of these garages after the concert, and the parking is on us.

When other downtown events coincide with concert nights, we suggest planning to arrive earlier than usual to allow time for possible re-direction to an alternate parking facility. In the event that the I-91 South garage becomes full, you should proceed to North garage.
