Following a powerful overture by Lowell-born composer George Chadwick, we
feature works by two of the greatest classical melodists of all time. Dvorák ’s
lovely piano concerto, a rare gem, marks the Springfield debut of Czech pianist
Martin Kasik. Tchaikovsky’s fifth symphony, an audience favorite, wraps up a
great evening.
