First Annual Maestro’s Raffle A Rousing Success
The SSO extends our grateful thanks to all who participated in the First Annual Maestro’s Raffle!
We are sending a lucky SSO fan off to Paris in the fall as a result of the raffle drawing on May 12. The excitement will continue with the prize of a trip to Vienna for the 2012-2013 Maestro’s Raffle.
The generosity and enthusiasm of SSO patrons for our unique fundraiser helped us to surpass our goal and reach a total of $29,800 from ticket sales and donations—funds that will support the educational, community and cultural programs of the SSO throughout the year.

Our final evening of ticket sales builds to a crescendo of excitement as concertgoers throng the raffle table for their last chance to purchase what they hope will be a winning ticket to Paris in the fall.
The raffle box contains not just numbered slips of paper, but the hopes of the holders of 546 tickets
“Stuffing” the raffle drum causes a flurry of excitement as we work to make sure every ticket makes it into the drum. Over 2,100 witnesses in the Hall keep an eye on the proceedings as Production Stage Manager Shari Guyer (left) and Director of Development Linda Cardillo Platzer (right) fill the drum.
Maestro Rhodes reaches into the drum to pull the winning ticket with help from Linda Cardillo Platzer as eager orchestra members strain to catch a glimpse.
The Paris raffle may be over, but next year, Vienna! The city of Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, Schubert, Strauss, Brahms, Mahler and Schönberg. . . make it yours as well.
Vienna raffle tickets will go on sale on Opening Night
